Public transportation in Stockholm has 900,000 daily passengers traveling by subway, bus, tram, commuter train, or boat. It is a part of people's everyday life on their way to work, school, and activities.
The visual design is a part of the city's landscape — through station buildings, vehicles, stops, and signs. Our task was to develop a wayfinding system that unifies the experience of SL across the entire county, for all modes of transportation, and for passengers with varying levels of knowledge about how to use public transport — from occasional visitors to commuters, from children to people with different disabilities.
